Where have I been? Probably in my school books, living on campus, helping girls try on wedding dresses, trying to clean my ever so messy apartment, and everywhere else in between. I can't believe my last post was almost two months ago. I guess life for me right now is just busy! But, that's a good thing :)
First off I know this will be late, but I wanted to do a little recap of 2011 because that was an awesome year for me. So, having said that, just ignore the fact that it is now February and I should have done this, oh I don't know, at the beginning of January.
January-April: I started my first year of college at BYU-Idaho and loved every minute of it! I had some awesome roommates that I consider some of my best friends. I really lucked out and wouldn't have traded that time for anything. I was able to grow as an individual and I learned a lot of new things about myself.
April-August: During this time period was one of the highlights of my year! I'm sure a lot of you already know that. :) I started my second semester up at BYU-Idaho and also enjoyed it a lot. During the spring it seems to be a lot more relaxed up here and I think thats what I loved the most. The best part was in June on the 28th. This day was the day that I successfully waited for a missionary and the day I had been longing for in 2 years. Cody came home! And he came home time without missing any flights. :) I don't know how I did it with being in school, but I made it and ended up with good grades in all my classes. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone though. A few weeks later on July 14th Cody and I were engaged and lets just say I had no idea that one was coming. You would think I would be expecting it, but he was pretty sly and tricked me the entire time. But, thats what I wanted. :) In August I started working at Margenes Bridal in Idaho Falls and have really grown close to a lot of people there. It's been a good place to be and I can't imagine myself anywhere else right now. Not everyone can say they get to play dress up everyday when they go to work.
September: This was also a really good month for me because it was the month that I was sealed for time and all eternity to my best friend in the Idaho Falls Temple. I loved my wedding day and wouldn't change one thing about it. I often wish I could replay it because it was such a fun day. I also married into the best family anyone could ever ask for and I am so blessed because they are such a strong family with such an amazing spirit about them. They really have taught me a lot and I love each and everyone of them!
October-December: Cody was in school for his first time again in 2 years and we were able to spend our first major holidays together as a married couple. I absolutely loved it because now I am not a loner in the family and will always have him with me. That was a very very short recap of 2011, but it was a good year for me and I hope 2012 will bring the same!
